The soft sand dunes of Jockey's Ridge State Park and consistent, clean winds of the Outer Banks offer the perfect training facility for introductory lessons virtually all year long.


Ages 4 years old and up can fly! Any participant under 100 lbs should book their lesson for a "kids class". Kids Classes are taught side by side with regular classes at specifically designated times.

The 2000′ Tandem Aerotow Lesson is perfect for thrill seekers who want to get an overall perspective of hang gliding with a bird’s eye view of the coastline above the Currituck Sound on the Outer Banks. No experience is necessary.

Experience another world as you kayak through this amber creek under a canopy of Live Oak and Red Maples as  you discover the Maritime Forest- one of only eight in the world.  While paddling you might see wildlife such as turtles, snakes, as well as birds such as: herons, egrets, woodpeckers, kingfishers and ducks. This kayak tour is great for beginners and also on windy days, due to the shelter provided by the tall trees of the forest.

Take a step back in time as you paddle through Alligator National Wildlife Refuge, the northern most home of the American alligator. Come with us and explore the red waters and 'living fossils' of the cypress swamp. You may catch a glimpse of some of the elusive wildlife that lives in the refuge as well as some of the relics from another time. Not only will you hear tales of the logging settlers of Buffalo City, you'll also learn about the history behind one of prohibition's biggest moonshine capitals.

Ponder the fate of the lost colony as you kayak through the marshy canals of Roanoke Island. The tour leaves from the Historic Manteo Waterfront and has excellent photo opportunities of the Elizabeth II (a replica of a 16th century sailing ship) and downtown Manteo. Once paddlers reach more open water, they'll experience a great view across the sound of Jockey's Ridge the largest sand dune on the east coast.
